Working in the Four Corners Means Working With the Weather
Anyone who has worked here for long knows that the Four Corners doesn't offer one neat, predictable set of conditions.

A project can begin on a cold morning and finish under a surprisingly hot afternoon sun. Summer thunderstorms can turn dry ground into mud quickly. Winter weather can affect roads, access and equipment operation. High winds, snow, freezing temperatures and rapid changes in conditions can all alter what was supposed to be a straightforward day.

Elevation adds another variable. A job near Cortez isn't necessarily dealing with the same conditions as a project outside Telluride, Durango or Pagosa Springs.

That matters when you're planning equipment.

The machine has to be appropriate for the work, but the logistics of getting it there and getting it back matter too.

Mountain Roads Change the Equation
A location that looks close on a map isn't always a quick drive in the Four Corners.

Mountain passes, steep grades, narrow roads, construction, weather and seasonal conditions can turn equipment transportation into a significant part of the job.

Hauling heavy equipment isn't the same as driving a pickup to the site. Machine weight, trailer requirements, road conditions, grades, access and unloading space all have to be considered.

And every hour someone from your crew spends retrieving or returning equipment is an hour they're not spending on the actual job.
